Oil Pump (continued)

    Remove any dirt or other material from the contact surfaces.
  2. 5
    Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant to the contact surface of the oil pump.

    Apply clean engine oil to a new O-ring and install it into the pump body.
    Keep the oil hole free of sealant to prevent engine damage.
  4. 7
    Apply clean engine oil to the oil seal lip.
  5. 8
    Install the oil pump within five minutes of applying the sealant, making sure that the O-ring does not come out.

    Cut away the portion of the silicone sealant that projects toward the oil pan.

Water Pump

  1. 1
    Remove all dirt, grease, and other material from the water pump mounting surface.
  2. 2
    Install a new rubber gasket and the water pump.

Oil baffle

  1. 1
    Remove any dirt or other material from the oil baffle.
  2. 2
    Install the oil baffle.

Oil Strainer

  1. 1
    Install a new gasket and the oil strainer onto the oil pump body.

    Tighten bolts A, then tighten bolts B.
