B2-95prose procedureInstall the connecting rod caps as follows
- 1Remove the Plastigage from the journals and bearings.
- 2Apply clean engine oil to the connecting rod bearings.
- 3Install the connecting rod bearings and caps.
- 4Apply engine oil to the threads and seat faces of the cap bolts and tighten them as in step 1.
- 5Verify that the crankshaft rotates smoothly by hand.
Measure the connecting rod side clearances
- 1Measure each connecting rod side clearance.
- 2If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the connecting rod and cap assembly.
