Lower cylinder block (continued)

    Loosen the cylinder block bolts and crankshaft cap bolts in two or three steps in the order shown in the figure.

    Insert a screwdriver only at the points shown and pry loose the lower cylinder block.
    Do not use a scraper to separate the cylinder block sections. It can easily scratch the contact surfaces.

    Tap the lower cylinder block with a plastic hammer.
