The generator has a self-diagnostic function to warn the operator of the following problems in the charging system. If a problem arises, the generator warning light illuminates.
1. Terminal S circuit open
2. No voltage output
3. Field coil circuit open
4. Terminal B circuit open
5. Voltage output too high
