Terminal and cable

    Check the tightness of the terminals to ensure good electrical connections.

    Check for corroded or frayed battery cables.

    Check the rubber protector on the positive terminal for proper coverage.

    Clean the terminals if necessary, and coat them with grease.

Slow charging

It is not necessary to remove the vent caps to perform a slow charge.

Quick charging

Remove the battery from the vehicle and remove the vent caps to perform a quick charge. Place the battery in a pan of water to prevent it from overheating. The water level should come up about halfway on the battery. Keep water off of the top of the battery.
