Removal / Installation
- 1Discharge the refrigerant from the system.
- 2Remove the glove compartment and glove compartment cover. (Refer to the 1995 MX-3 Workshop Manual, section S.)
- 3Disconnect the thermoswitch connector.
- 4Unlock the seal plate and slide the seal plate toward the heater unit and blower unit.
- 5Disconnect the cooler pipes from the cooling unit.
- 6Remove as shown in the figure.

- 7Install in the reverse order of removal. Apply clean compressor oil to the O-rings before connecting the fittings; do not apply compressor oil to the fitting nuts. When installing a new cooling unit, add 60 ml {60 cc, 2.0 fl oz} of compressor oil through the high-pressure side of the A/C compressor.
