Step 2

  1. 1
    Disconnect the ECM connector.
    ECM connector terminal layout, top view, with a jumper wire on the (Y/B) terminal routed to ground.
  2. 2
    Connect a jumper wire between the (Y/B) terminal wire of the ECM connector and ground.
  3. 3
    Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  4. 4
    Verify that the condenser fan operates.

Condenser fan / Action (Step 2)

ActionRemove jumper wire and go to Step 3.

Step 3

  1. 1
    Verify that the ECM connector is disconnected.
  2. 2
    Verify that the ignition switch is at ON.
  3. 3
    Measure the voltage at the following terminal wires of the condenser fan relay No.1 connector.
    B+: Battery positive voltage
    Condenser fan relay No.1 location in the engine bay, with a voltmeter connected to the relay connector. Terminal wires (L/Y), (B/W), (L/R), (Y/B) labeled on the connector.

    Verify that the ignition switch is at ON.

    Measure the voltage at the (Y/B) terminal wire of the ECM connector.

    Measure the voltage at the following terminal wires of the condenser fan connector.
