G-18spec tableDrive belt tension and deflection specs differ between B6 DOHC and K8 DOHC engines and by accessory (Generator, P/S, A/C).
DRIVE BELT
Inspection
- 1Check the drive belts and pulleys for wear, cracks, and fraying. Replace if necessary.
- 2Measure the drive belt tension with a SST, and measure the deflection by applying moderate pressure 98 N {10 kgf, 22 lbf} midway between the pulleys. Adjust the belt if necessary.
