AIRFLOW MODE ACTUATOR

G-39prose procedure

Inspection

  1. 1
Remove the cooling unit. (Refer to page G-67.)
  2. 2
Disconnect the airflow mode actuator connector.
  3. 3
Connect battery positive voltage to terminals L and J and check the operation of the airflow mode actuator.
    B+: Battery positive voltage
Line drawing of the heater/cooling unit with the airflow mode actuator connector disconnected and battery positive voltage applied to terminals L and J. An inset at top-right shows the actuator connector terminal layout with an X marking. A battery symbol is shown at lower right.
  4. 4
If not as specified, replace the airflow mode actuator. (Refer to page G-38.)
  5. 5
Check for continuity between the terminals of the airflow mode actuator.
Line drawing of the heater unit with an ohmmeter connected to the airflow mode actuator terminals to check continuity. An inset at top-right shows the actuator connector terminal layout labelled K, I, H, A, B, C, F. An ohmmeter (Ω) symbol is shown at right.
  6. 6
If not as specified, replace the airflow mode actuator. (Refer to page G-38.)
