Removal / Installation

    Remove the nuts mounting the fuel filter and igniter to the bracket, and move them toward the engine.
    Exploded view of the ABS hydraulic unit installation in the engine bay. Numbered balloon callouts 1-9 identify the battery, air cleaner, mount bushing, connectors, brake pipe, ABS hydraulic unit assembly, casing, mount, and hex stud. Tightening torque values are noted: 13-22 N·m (1.3-2.3 kgf·m, 10-16 ft-lbf) at SST point, 2.9-5.8 N·m (30-60 kgf·cm, 27-52 in-lbf), 19-22 N·m (1.9-2.3 kgf·m, 14-16 ft-lbf), 44-60 N·m (4.4-6.2 kgf·m, 32-44 ft-lbf), 67-93 N·m (6.8-9.5 kgf·m, 50-68 ft-lbf). Letter callouts A-E mark mounting points.

    Remove the hydraulic unit in order shown in the figure, referring to Removal Note.

    Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to Installation Note.
  4. 4
    Add brake fluid, bleed the air, and check for fluid leakage.
  5. 5
    Verify whether the diagnostic trouble code is canceled. (Refer to P-56.)

Removal Note - Brake pipes
