Piston seal

Remove the piston seal with the SST.

Needle bearing

Needle bearing Removal

  1. 1
    Secure the caliper in a vise.
    Removing the needle bearing from the caliper (secured in a vise) using SST 49 1285 071, with an arrow indicating the pull direction.
  2. 2
    Remove the needle bearing from the caliper with the SST.

Assembly Note

Needle bearing

Press the needle bearing into the caliper with the SST until the SST bottoms against the caliper.

Piston

Piston Assembly

  1. 1
    Clean the piston.
  2. 2
    Install a new dust seal in the piston groove.
  3. 3
    Turn the piston into the caliper by rotating the SST clockwise until it stops.
    Turning the piston into the caliper by rotating SST 49 FA18 602 clockwise until it stops.
