PARKING BRAKE LEVER

Block the wheels firmly.

Release the parking brake.

Remove in the order shown in the figure.

Inspect all components and parts. Replace parts if necessary.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Install the parking brake switch so that it contacts the parking brake lever when the lever is fully released.

After installation: Adjust the parking lever stroke. (Refer to page P-45.)

Turn the ignition switch ON, and check that the parking brake warning light illuminates with the lever pulled one notch.
