F2-128prose procedureStep 5 differs for MTX (disconnect neutral switch connector) vs ATX (place on chassis roller, selector to D).
System Operation
- 1Warm up the engine to normal operation temperature.
- 2Run the engine at idle.
- 3Disconnect the vacuum hose from the purge solenoid valve.

- 4Check that no vacuum's felt.
- 5Disconnect the neutral switch connector. (MTX) Position the vehicle on the chassis roller and shift the selector lever to D (ATX).

- 6Connect a tachometer and increase the engine speed to 1200 rpm.

- 7Check that vacuum is felt approx. 10 sec. after.
PURGE SOLENOID VALVE
Inspection
- 1Remove the solenoid valve.
- 2Blow through the solenoid valve from hose A and check that air dose not flow from B.

- 3Apply battery positive voltage to solenoid valve and check that air dose flow from hose A to B.

- 4If not as specified, measure the resistance of the solenoid valve.Resistance: 23-27 Ω [20°C {68°F}]
