WARNING
Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures" on page F2-106.
Fuel pump fuel pressure hold inspection
- 1Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- 2Connect a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel filter and main hose.
- 3Connect the negative battery cable.
- 4Connect the data link connector terminals F/P and GND by using a jumper wire.

- 5Turn the ignition switch to ON for approx. 10 sec. to operate the fuel pump.
- 6Turn off the ignition switch. Wait for 5 min., and observe the fuel pressure.
- 7If not as specified, replace the fuel pump. (Refer to page F2-112.)
