Inspection
Fuel pump maximum pressure
WARNING
Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures" on page F2-106.
Fuel pump maximum pressure
- 1Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- 2Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel main pipe and plug the outlet of the gauge as shown. (Install clamps as shown.)

- 3Connect the negative battery cable.
- 4Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND by using a jumper wire.

- 5Turn the ignition switch to ON to operate the fuel pump.
- 6Measure the fuel pump maximum pressure.
- 7Turn the ignition switch to OFF and disconnect the jumper wire.
- 8If not as specified, replace the fuel pump.

Continuity
Fuel Pump Continuity
- 1Remove the rear seat cushion.

- 2Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- 3Check for continuity between the fuel pump connector terminals B and H.

- 4If there is none, replace the fuel pump.
