Removal / Installation

    Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read SERVICE WARNINGS in the Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual, section S, before handing the air bag module.

    Remove in the order shown in the figure, referring to Removal note.

Shows the dash panel, instrument cluster, steering wheel, air bag module, glove box, console box and lid. A torque value 19—25 {1.9—2.6, 14—18} is noted near the center.     Install in the reverse order of removal.
