Removal / Installation

    Raise the front door glass fully.
  2. 2
    Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    Remove the door screen carefully so that it may be reused.

    Remove in the order shown in the figure.
    Exploded view of the door lock and opener assembly: door panel, door trim, inner handle cover, door screen, sealing pad, door lock, door lock actuator, outer handle, lock cylinder and lock cylinder retainer. Numbered balloon callouts 1-10 plus letter callouts A-F mark fastener/connection points. Two detail insets at right show the outer handle/lock cylinder area and the door lock mechanism. Torque value 6.9-9.80 N·m {70-100 kgf-cm, 61-86.7 in-lbf} called out at bolt locations. Units note at bottom right: N·m {kgf-cm, in-lbf}.

    Install in the reverse order of removal.
