OIL SEAL (CHANGE ROD ASSEMBLY)
J2-9prose procedureREPLACEMENT
- 1Remove the drain plug and washer. (Refer to Replacement page J2-7.)
- 2Drain the oil into a suitable container.
- 3Disconnect the change control rod from the transaxle.
- 4Remove the joint and boot from the change rod assembly.

- 5Remove the oil seal.

- 6Install a new oil seal by using a 26 mm {1.024 in} diameter pipe.

- 7Coat the lip of the oil seal with transaxle oil.
- 8Install the boot and joint to the change rod assembly so that the drain hole is facing downward.Tightening torque: 13.8-18.6 N·m {140-190 kgf·cm, 122-164 in·lbf}

- 9Connect the change control rod to the change rod assembly.Tightening torque: 16-22 N·m {1.6-2.3 kgf·m, 12-16 ft·lbf}

- 10Add the specified amount and type of oil. (Refer to page J2-7.)
