    Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Note.
    Large exploded view of the 5th/Reverse gear and transaxle housing parts, showing the clutch (transaxle) housing, transmission case half, gear-shaft assemblies, differential ring gear, shift forks and shift rails, 5th gear synchro components, and end cover. Numbered balloon callouts 1 through 43 indicate disassembly order; lettered callouts (A, B, C) and SST labels mark special-tool / fastener points. Inset box at lower-left magnifies the 5th gear synchronizer hub/sleeve/snap-ring detail (callouts 34, 35, 36, 37). Replacement notes 'WASHER, REPLACE', 'O-RING, REPLACE', 'CLIP, REPLACE', 'ROLL PIN, REPLACE' (two locations), and 'REPLACE' appear at the relevant parts.
