K8 DOHC engine variant power steering oil pump. Differs from B6 DOHC (page N-43) in part list and requires A/C drive belt removal first.

POWER STEERING OIL PUMP (K8 DOHC)

Removal / Installation

  1. 1
    Remove the A/C drive belt. (Refer to section U.)
  2. 2
    Remove in the order shown in the figure, referring to Removal Note.
    Exploded view of the K8 DOHC power steering oil pump removal/installation. Shows the P/S oil pump assembly with pulley, pressure hose, return hose, P/S pressure switch connector, mounting bolts, washers, and P/S drive belt. Numbered balloon callouts 1-8 with tightening torques. Torque units: N·m (kgf·m, ft-lbf).

    Install in the reverse order of removal.

    After installation, bleed air from system.
  5. 5
    Install the A/C drive belt. (Refer to section U.)
