Removal / Installation

  1. 1
    Remove in the order shown in the figure.
    Exploded view of the B6 DOHC power steering oil pump removal/installation. Shows the P/S oil pump assembly with pulley, bracket, mounting bolts and nuts, adjusting bolt, P/S drive belt, pressure hose, return hose, and O-rings. Numbered balloon callouts 1-12 with tightening torques. Torque units: N·m (kgf·m, ft-lbf).

    Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
  3. 3
    Install in the reverse order of removal.
  4. 4
    After installation, bleed air from system (Refer to page N-8.)
