Inspection of fluid pressure
- 1Assemble the SSTs as shown in the figure. Remove the transverse member. (K8 engine) (Refer to section R.)Tightening torque: 40—49 N·m {4.0—5.0 kgf·m, 29—36 ft·lbf}
- 2Mark both hose connections to ensure that the hose is re-installed in its original position.
- 3Disconnect the pressure hose on the oil pump side, and attach the SSTs.
- 4Bleed the air from the system. (Refer to page N-8.)
- 5Open the gauge valve fully. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel fully left and right to raise the fluid temperature to 50—60 °C {122—140°F}.
