Assembly Note — Coil spring (continued)

    Install the mounting block, aligning the studs of the mounting block and the lower bracket of the shock absorber as shown in the figure.

    Install the retainer and washer.

    Loosely tighten the nut.
  4. 9
    Carefully loosen and remove the SSTs.
  5. 10
    Verify that the coil spring is correctly seated in the mounting block and lower spring seat.

When using SST (49 T034 1A0)

    Temporarily assemble the mounting block and coil spring to the shock absorber, as shown.
    Temporary assembly for marking: shock absorber with mounting block and coil spring temporarily assembled. Top inset shows MARK HERE on the mounting block and coil spring. Bottom inset shows STEP OF LOWER SEAT and END OF COIL. Labels: LOWER BRACKET PART, STUD BOLT, MOUNTING BLOCK.

    Mark the mounting block and coil spring for proper reassembly.
