H-17prose procedureFlywheel tightening torque differs by engine: B6 DOHC 97-102 N·m, K8 DOHC 61-67 N·m.
Removal Note
Clutch cover and clutch disc
- 1Support the clutch disc by using the SST.

- 2Install the SST or equivalent.
- 3Loosen each bolt one turn at a time in a crisscross pattern until spring tension is released. Then remove the clutch cover and disc.
Pilot bearing
NOTE
The pilot bearing does not have to be removed unless you are replacing it.
If removing the pilot bearing, use the SST.
Flywheel
- 1Hold the flywheel by using the SST or equivalent.

- 2Remove the bolts evenly and gradually in the figure shown.
- 3Remove the flywheel.
- 4Inspect for oil leakage from the crankshaft rear oil seal. If there is any such leakage or if the oil seal is damaged, refer to sections B1 or B2 and replace the crankshaft oil seal.
Installation Note
Flywheel
- 1Wipe the bolts clean and apply sealant to the bolt threads.

- 2Install the flywheel and the SST or equivalent.
- 3Tighten the bolts in the pattern shown.
