REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

Oil pan removal / installation

    Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    Drain the engine oil. (Refer to page D2-5.)

    Remove in the order shown in the figure, referring to Removal Note.

Shows the splash shield (1), transverse member (2), front exhaust pipe (3) with gaskets and self-lock nut, oil pan (4) with sealant on cylinder block contact surfaces, and oil strainer (5). Connection points A, B, C and several torque values are noted at the bolts.
